Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) going to recruit General Foreman and Technical Assistant. Instructions

Candidates can either submit their applications online till 5.45 P.M. on 13/06/2011 or through applications obtained from the Commission’s Office/Head Post Offices.

Fees
Rs.130/- (Rs. 100 - Examination Fee + Rs. 30 - Application Fee). The fee should be paid only through Postal Receipt obtained from any one of the Post Offices or Sub-Post Offices. Candidates applying Online should possess and keep ready the Postal Receipt for this amount before start entering the details.

Procedure to apply online:

* Read carefully the Instructions / Brochure / Notification-Advertisement before Filling up the Application form.
* Click "Apply Online" tab appeared in your right hand side.
* Fill-up/Select the relevant particulars asked in the data entry screen carefully.
* After confirmation, click "Yes, Generate Online Application Form" button.
* An unique application number will be generated. Kindly note it.
* Type the application Number and your date of Birth to generate online application form.
* Print the generated application forms (2 pages), affix your signature, paste one recent passport size photograph, affix the Postal Receipt towards the Examination Fee and Application Fee in the 2nd page and send it to the Commission's Office on or before the last date.

Note:
Mere data entry of application alone is not an online registration. Online application forms without Signature and photograph will be summarily rejected

Last date
The candidates can register their particulars online and generate printout till 5.45 P.M. on 13/06/2011. They will have to generate the printout of the filled-up application form by clicking 'YES, Generate Online Application Form' button, paste one recent passport size photograph, affix the Postal Receipt towards the Examination Fee and Application Fee, affix the signature and send it to the Commission’s Office on or before 15/06/2011 - 5.45 P.M.

Before taking the printout of the Application Form, make sure that both Top and Bottom margins of the print area will have only 3 mm. (This can be adjusted using File->Page Setup option of the browser.).

Network Administrators

* Qualification: B.Tech / B.E in Computer Science / Electronics / Electronics & Telecommunications. Candidates having additional certifications like CCNA / CCNP would be preferred
* Desirable : Experience in Installation, Administration & Managing CISCO Switches, Routers & Firewalls. Hands on experience on Non-CISCO Networking & Security products Exposure to Structured Cabling systems, Fibre Optics, WAN, MPLS, VSAT. Exposure to NMS like CA Unicenter, HP OpenView. Must have very strong fundamental knowledge in Networking including TCP/IP, ISO/OSI Layer, IEEE Standards. Candidates must have Minimum one Year‟s work experience in the above mentioned areas. Candidates having work experience in Banks/ financial institutions will be preferred.


Hardware Engineers :

* Qualification: B.Tech / B.E in Computer Science / Electronics / Electronics & Telecommunications Candidates having MCP in Windows Server Administration would be preferred.
* Desirable: Knowledge in Computer Hardware Management / Maintenance / System administration. Knowledge of UNIX, Windows administration is essential.

Database Administrator

* Qualification: B.Tech / B.E in Computer Science / IT / Electronics / MCA / MCS Candidates with additional qualification of ORACLE/MSSQL certification would be preferred.

Security Officer

* Experience – Commissioned Officer in the Army / Navy / Air Force with minimum 5 years of experience, including Officers in short service Commission & Para Military forces or a police officer not below the rank of ASP / DSP with 5 years of service. The candidates must have proficiency in Information Technology and Cyber Laws / Cyber security.

Law Officer

* Qualification: Law Graduates / Post Graduates in Law, who have secured more than 60% marks. For SC/ST candidates 55% marks

Selection Procedure
Eligible candidates will be required to appear in the All India Selection Test at their own expenses and only candidates qualifying in the written test will be called for Personal Interview.

Test Center
The written test will be held at Kolkata, Ranchi. Mumbai, Bhubaneshwar, Chandigarh, Guwahati, Bilaspur, Bhopal, Lucknow, Delhi. Jaipur. Nagpur, Hyderabad. Bangluru and Chennai- as mentioned in the online application. Candidates will have to choose one test center preference from the list and the same cannot be changed after the form is submitted. However, Coal India reserves the right to cancel or add any test center or change the center chosen by the candidate.

Application Fee
Candidates are required to pay a non-refundable application fee of Rs.500/- through demand draft drawn in favor of Coal India Limited payable at Kolkata. Candidates have to keep the demand draft ready at the time of filling the online application form and enter the details in the respective fields provided for the same. The form cannot be submitted unless the demand draft details are entered in the form. Candidates will have to send the demand draft along with the hard copy of the application sheet which will be generated after submission of the online form to the following address, superscribing the envelop with the post i.e. MT (Discipline) applied for : Chief Manager (Personnel - Recruitment), Coal India Limited, 10 NS Road, Post bag No. 43, GPO Kolkata - 700001, West Bengal.
